Boosting Recruitment & Retention By Prioritizing Financial Wellness with Marmot Benefits

Challenges
Canada’s non-profit sector faces critical workforce issues where high staff turnover and an aging workforce pose real risk to sustainability. Community- based NPOs face unique challenges in recruiting and retaining younger employees. Recognizing the need to support their team’s financial wellness, The Alex sought a solution specifically aimed at engaging younger employees and recent graduates that focussed on recruitment and retention of full-time and part-time health and medical professionals.
Solution
The Alex saw the Student Loan Repayment Benefit from Marmot as impactful incentive to recruit and retain younger health and medical professionals. The Marmot Student Loan Repayment Benefit offered a solution that:
Provided flexibility by allowing full-time and part-time salaried employees to allocate up to 5% of their employer matched RSP contributions to pay down federal and provincial student loans.
